As the state’s second largest city, San Antonio embodies Texas’ rich cultural heritage while maintaining the Old West charm of an oil town.
Step out of the city life by going to Willow City Loop and Landa Park. Admiral Nimitz State Historic Site and The Coming King Sculpture Prayer Garden are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Venture out of the city with trips to Luckenbach Texas General Store (in Luckenbach) and Fredericksburg (Pioneer Museum Complex & St. Mary's Catholic Church). There's much more to do: admire the architecture and history at Mission San Jose, steep yourself in history at The Guenther House Museum, take a stroll around Tower of the Americas, and pause for some serene contemplation at San Fernando De Bexar Cathedral.
