The Alamo City

As the state’s second largest city, San Antonio embodies Texas’ rich cultural heritage while maintaining the Old West charm of an oil town.
Let the collections at The Alamo and The Guenther House Museum capture your imagination. Get outdoors at Hamilton Pool Preserve and Lyndon B. Johnson State Park & Historic Site. Get out of town with these interesting San Antonio side-trips: Calais Winery (in Hye), New Braunfels (Landa Park & Comal River) and Pedernales Falls State Park (in Johnson City). There's lots more to do: trek along Jacob's Well Natural Area, appreciate the extensive heritage of Mission Trail, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at The Coming King Sculpture Prayer Gardens, and find something for the whole family at SeaWorld.

In June, daytime highs in San Antonio are 93°F, while nighttime lows are 74°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 19th (Fri) so you can travel back home.
