Santa Fe continuously ranks among the world's top holiday destinations, attracting visitors with its unusual combination of scenic beauty, rich history, cultural diversity, and high concentration of performing arts venues, fine restaurants, and interesting attractions.
Visiting Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument and Los Alamos Nature Center will get you outdoors. Get some cultural insight at Loretto Chapel and Canyon Road. Venture out of the city with trips to Taos (Taos Pueblo & Rio Grande Gorge Bridge) and Valles Caldera National Preserve (in Jemez Springs). There's much more to do: take in the architecture and atmosphere at The Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi, do a tasting at Gruet Winery, identify plant and animal life at Leonora Curtin Wetland Preserve, and witness a stunning natural landmark at ten thousand waves.

Albuquerque remains one of the state's secret jewels, as its tourist attractions are often overshadowed by the more popular holiday destination of Santa Fe.
On the 8th (Fri), examine the collection at Indian Pueblo Cultural Center and then take in breathtaking views at Bandelier National Monument. Keep things going the next day: see the interesting displays at New Mexico Steam Locomotive and Railroad Historical Society, then take in the dramatic natural features at Petroglyph National Monument, and then appreciate the extensive heritage of Albuquerque Old Town.
