Scottsdale — 2 nights

Scottsdale is a city in the eastern part of Maricopa County, Arizona, adjacent to the Greater Phoenix Area. On the 1st (Sun), take in nature's colorful creations at Desert Botanical Garden, then see the interesting displays at Heard Museum, and then wander the streets of Old Town Scottsdale. On your second day here, see the interesting displays at Musical Instrument Museum and then see a world frozen in time at Goldfield Ghost Town.

Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: browse the different shops at Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village and then admire the majestic nature at Red Rock State Park.

Traveling by car from Scottsdale to Sedona takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can fly; or take a bus. Traveling from Scottsdale in May, expect Sedona to be a bit cooler, temps between 78°F and 54°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 4th (Wed) early enough to travel to Grand Canyon National Park.
