Drive from Taos to Santa Fe in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. Plan for somewhat warmer nights when traveling from Taos in March since evenings lows in Santa Fe dip to 29°F. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 21st (Wed) to allow enough time to travel back home.
