Although urban sprawl remains synonymous with Houston, most of the city's tourist attractions lie within the relatively small downtown area, surrounded by diverse neighborhoods housing the nation's biggest African-American, Asian-American, and Latino communities.
Start off your visit on the 16th (Wed): get curious at The Houston Museum of Natural Science, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Teo-Chew Temple, and then admire the sheer force of Water Wall. On your second day here, examine the collection at Space Center Houston and then get to know the fascinating history of The Seawall.

Buffalo to Houston is an approximately 8-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. The time zone difference when traveling from Buffalo to Houston is minus 1 hour. In December, Houston is much warmer than Buffalo - with highs of 66°F and lows of 50°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 17th (Thu) to allow time to drive to San Antonio.

As the state’s second largest city, San Antonio embodies Texas’ rich cultural heritage while maintaining the Old West charm of an oil town.
Start off your visit on the 18th (Fri): take in the architecture and atmosphere at San Fernando De Bexar Cathedral, contemplate the long history of The Guenther House Museum, then steep yourself in history at The Alamo, and finally take in the pleasant sights at The San Antonio River Walk. On the 19th (Sat), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: take in the history at Mission Espada, steep yourself in history at Mission San Jose, and then take a stroll around Tower of the Americas.
