A tiny town with big tourist appeal, Pigeon Forge bills itself as the "Center of Fun in the Smokies." Just a short drive from the national park protecting the diverse plant and animal life of the Great Smoky Mountains, the town features numerous places to visit, such as bars, restaurants, cafes, theaters, and shops.
Kick off your visit on the 24th (Wed): sample the fine beverages at Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine, sample the fine beverages at Sugarlands Distilling Company, then kick your exploration up a notch at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks, then relax and float downstream with a rafting and tubing tour, and finally do a tasting at Mill Bridge Winery. Here are some ideas for day two: meet the residents at Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies and then make a splash at Dollywood.
