Explore Zion National Park's surroundings by going to Aspen Mirror Lake (in Duck Creek Village) and Parowan Gap Petroglyphs (in Parowan). Spend the 20th (Sat) exploring nature at The Narrows. Spend the 23rd (Tue) exploring nature at Zion National Park. It doesn't end there: stroll through Angel's Landing and cruise along Zion Canyon Scenic Drive.

Salt Lake City to Zion National Park is an approximately 3.5-hour combination of flight and car. You can also do a combination of flight and taxi; or drive. While traveling from Salt Lake City, expect a bit warmer days and a bit cooler nights in Zion National Park, ranging from highs of 74°F to lows of 36°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 23rd (Tue) early enough to drive to Bryce Canyon National Park.

You can find hoodoos--rock pillars formed by erosion--all around the world, but those of Bryce Canyon National Park remain the standard bearers thanks to their bright red color, tall stature, and arrangement in large amphitheaters.

On the 24th (Wed), take in the dramatic scenery at Calf Creek Falls Recreation Area, then stop by Ruby's Inn Canyon Rock Shop, and then hike along Navajo/Queens Garden Loop. On your second day here, take a pleasant ride with a tour on horseback, hike along Navajo Loop Trail, and then take in breathtaking views at Sunset Point.
