Waterpark Capital of the World

Named after a nearby scenic gorge famous for its steep sandstone formations, Wisconsin Dells features more than 20 water parks, making it one of the most popular vacation areas in this region.
Step off the beaten path and head to International Crane Foundation and Horicon Marsh. Escape the urban bustle at Zipline and Governor Dodge State Park. Venture out of the city with trips to Sandhill Wildlife Refuge (in Babcock), Baraboo (Parfrey's Glen State Natural Area & Baraboo Bluffs) and Green Circle Trail (in Stevens Point). There's lots more to do: explore the landscape on two wheels at Elroy-Sparta State Trail, identify plant and animal life at University of Wisconsin-Madison Arboretum, admire the landmark architecture of Taliesin Preservation: Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center , and don't miss a visit to Carr Valley Cheese.
