Orange Beach exists solely as a tourist beach town, with a permanent population of less than 6,000.
On the 9th (Thu), stroll around Gulf Shores Dog Park. Here are some ideas for day two: push the limits with an extreme tour, then examine the collection at Foley Railroad Museum, then get engrossed in the history at Holmes Medical Museum, and finally relax in the rural setting at Sweet Home Farm.

To find photos, where to stay, reviews, and more tourist information, go to the Orange Beach trip itinerary planning tool .

Milwaukee to Orange Beach is an approximately 6-hour combination of bus, flight, and taxi. You can also do a combination of flight and taxi; or drive. Traveling from Milwaukee in January, things will get much warmer in Orange Beach: highs are around 61°F and lows about 42°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 11th (Sat) to allow time to drive to Mobile.
