The City of Lights and Flowers

Home to nearly half of Alaska's population, the port city of Anchorage covers a staggering area of over 4,900 sq km (1,900 sq mi) surrounded by mountains.
On the 9th (Mon), get great views at Westchester Lagoon and then cruise along Seward Hwy. On the 10th (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: admire all the interesting features of Tony Knowles Coastal Trail and then sample the tasty concoctions at Midnight Sun Brewing Co..

The narrow city of Ketchikan clings to the bluffs that form Revillagigedo Island's southwestern shore.
On the 14th (Sat), cast your line with a fishing tour, contemplate the long history of Totem Bight State Historical Park, and then see the interesting displays at Dolly's House Museum. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: stroll through Ketchikan Rainbird Trail, then get outside with Outdoor Activities, and then trek along Deer Mountain Trail.
