Sitting at an elevation of 2,135 m (7,000 ft) and just a short trip from the Grand Canyon and other natural wonders, the city of Flagstaff attracts outdoor enthusiasts from around the world.
Start off your visit on the 5th (Fri): trek along Broken Arrow Trail and then hike along West Fork Oak Creek Trail. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: admire the majestic nature at Riordan Mansion State Historic Park, then examine the collection at Museum of Northern Arizona, and then identify plant and animal life at Lava River Cave.

Denver to Flagstaff is an approximately 3.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus and train. Expect little chillier temperatures when traveling from Denver in July; daily highs in Flagstaff reach 81°F and lows reach 52°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 6th (Sat) to allow time to drive to Grand Canyon National Park.

Prepare for somewhat warmer weather when traveling from Grand Canyon National Park in July: high temperatures in Kingman hover around 98°F and lows are around 71°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 10th (Wed) early enough to travel to Prescott.
