Fayetteville is the third-largest city in Arkansas and county seat of Washington County. On the 3rd (Mon), contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Mildred B. Cooper Memorial Chapel, get engrossed in the history at Bella Vista Museum, then get engrossed in the history at Museum of Native American History, then get engrossed in the history at The Walmart Museum, and finally admire the masterpieces at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. Set deep in the Ouachita Mountains, the city of Hot Springs almost completely surrounds the national park of the same name.
On the 5th (Wed), test your problem-solving skills at popular escape rooms, then get all the information you need at Fordyce Bathhouse (Vistor Center), then soothe aching muscles at some of the top local wellness centers, and finally take in nature's colorful creations at Garvan Woodland Gardens. Traveling by car from Fayetteville to Hot Springs takes 4 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of bus and taxi. Expect a bit warmer evenings in Hot Springs when traveling from Fayetteville in December, with lows around 37°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 6th (Thu) so you can go by car to Little Rock.
