Set deep in the Ouachita Mountains, the city of Hot Springs almost completely surrounds the national park of the same name.
Start off your visit on the 29th (Sat): stroll through Grand Promenade. Keep things going the next day: get your bearings at Fordyce Bathhouse, then stop by Bathhouse Soapery, then pause for some serene contemplation at Anthony Chapel, and finally find something for the whole family at Pirate's Cove Adventure Golf.

Durham to Hot Springs is an approximately 8.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of train, bus, and taxi. The time zone changes from Eastern Standard Time to Central Standard Time, which is usually a -1 hour difference. Kick off your visit on the 2nd (Tue): ponder the world of politics at Arkansas State Capitol, test your problem-solving skills at popular escape rooms, then get your bearings at William J. Clinton Presidential Library, and finally immerse yourself in nature at Pinnacle Mountain State Park. Keep things going the next day: get a sense of history and politics at Old State House Museum, then engage your brain at Museum Of Discovery, then see the interesting displays at Heifer Village (Heifer International), and finally see where the action happens at Dickey-Stephens Park.
