Start off your visit on the 17th (Fri): ponder the world of politics at Old State House Museum and then appreciate the history behind Testament: The Little Rock Nine Monument.

Denver to Little Rock is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. The time zone difference when traveling from Denver to Little Rock is 1 hour. Traveling from Denver in May, things will get somewhat warmer in Little Rock: highs are around 79°F and lows about 60°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 18th (Sat) so you can go by car to Hot Springs.

Set deep in the Ouachita Mountains, the city of Hot Springs almost completely surrounds the national park of the same name.
Visiting Zipline and Hot Springs National Park will get you outdoors. Fordyce Bathhouse (Vistor Center) and Anthony Chapel are good opportunities to explore the local culture. And it doesn't end there: soothe aching muscles at some of the top local wellness centers, admire all the interesting features of Garland County Library, take in nature's colorful creations at Garvan Woodland Gardens, and get to know the fascinating history of Bathhouse Row.

Getting from Little Rock to Hot Springs by car takes about 1.5 hours. Other options: do a combination of bus and taxi; or do a combination of train and taxi. In May, plan for daily highs up to 79°F, and evening lows to 60°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 21st (Tue) early enough to travel to Mountain View.

Mountain View is the largest city in and the county seat of Stone County, Arkansas. On the 22nd (Wed), tour the pleasant surroundings at Blanchard Springs Recreation Area, then immerse yourself in nature at Ozark Folk Center State Park, and then Head underground at Blanchard Springs Caverns.
