The popular saying goes, "Everything's bigger in Texas!" and Arlington exemplifies that maxim.
Get out of town with these interesting Arlington side-trips: Glen Rose (Dinosaur Valley State Park & Fossil Rim Wildlife Center) and Wiseman House (in Hico). There's lots more to do: steep yourself in history at Top O'Hill Terrace, get in on the family fun at Six Flags Over Texas, explore the world behind art at Kimbell Art Museum, and admire the local landmark of Fort Worth Water Gardens.

Get out of town with these interesting Venice side-trips: Siesta Key (Turtle Beach & Siesta Beach), Punta Gorda (Fishermen's Village & Fishing Charters & Tours) and Stump Pass Beach State Park (in Englewood).
