Kick off your visit on the 6th (Thu): relax in the rural setting at Seamans’ Orchard, then admire the sheer force of Crabtree Falls, and then take in nature's colorful creations at The Quarry Gardens. Keep things going the next day: admire the majestic nature at James River State Park and then stroll around Bear Creek Lake State Park.

A rapidly growing city in central North Carolina, Charlotte is the state's largest urban center and a major regional hub for finance, industry, technology, and entertainment.
Kids will appreciate attractions like Carowinds and Riverbanks Zoo and Garden. Get out of town with these interesting Charlotte side-trips: Columbia (Worlds Largest Fire Hydrant & City Roots), Zipline (in Lake Lure) and Falls Park on the Reedy (in Greenville). There's lots more to do: see the interesting displays at NASCAR Hall of Fame, look for all kinds of wild species at Latta Plantation Nature Center & Preserve, walk around Freedom Park, and test your problem-solving skills at popular escape rooms.
