8 days in Boise Itinerary

From its main thoroughfare, Boise greets visitors with a view of downtown framed by the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.

Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Galena Summit and Hyde Park. Get out of town with these interesting Boise side-trips: Lake Cascade State Park (in Cascade), Redfish Outlet Lake (in Ketchum) and Bruneau Dunes State Park (in Bruneau). There's much more to do: trek along Boise River Greenbelt, tour the pleasant surroundings at Hulls Gulch Nature Trail, immerse yourself in nature at Three Island Crossing State Park, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at St. John's Cathedral.
