"The Capital of the Cape," Hyannis serves as Cape Cod's main transportation and commercial hub.
Visit Edward Gorey House and Atwood Museum for their historical value. Get in touch with nature at Shining Sea Bikeway and Hyannis Whale Watcher Cruises. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Hyannis: Nobska Point Lighthouse (in Woods Hole), Cape Cod Canal (in Buzzards Bay) and Spohr Gardens (in Falmouth). There's lots more to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Nauset Beach, see the interesting displays at Heritage Museums & Gardens, contemplate the long history of Hoxie House, and engage your brain at Sandwich Glass Museum.

Little Rock to Hyannis is an approximately 8.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. The time zone changes from Central Standard Time to Eastern Standard Time, which is usually a 1 hour difference. Prepare for a bit cooler weather when traveling from Little Rock in May: high temperatures in Hyannis hover around 65°F and lows are around 49°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 10th (Tue) so you can drive to Provincetown.

Provincetown — 4 nights

A small resort town with a year-round population of just 3,000, Provincetown draws nearly 60,000 annual visitors with its scenic beaches, art colonies, galleries, theaters, and shops.
You'll get in some beach time at Race Point Beach and Herring Cove Beach. Get in touch with nature at Art's Dune Tours and Cape Cod National Seashore. Step out of Provincetown to go to Eastham and see Captain Penniman House, which is approximately 32 minutes away. Next up on the itinerary: explore the galleries of Pilgrim Monument & Provincetown Museum, learn about winemaking at Truro Vineyards of Cape Cod, get to know the fascinating history of Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, and stroll through Marconi Beach.

You can drive from Hyannis to Provincetown in 1.5 hours. Another option is to take a bus. In May in Provincetown, expect temperatures between 63°F during the day and 48°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 14th (Sat) early enough to fly back home.
