Stunning Garden of the Gods Park scenery, blue skies and the glory of Pikes Peak-America’s Mountain have attracted visitors to Colorado Springs for more than a century.
Bring the kids along to Garden of the Gods and River Rafting & Tubing. Explore Colorado Springs' surroundings by going to Denver (Denver Zoo & Denver Botanic Gardens), Mini Incline (in Castle Rock) and Canon City (Royal Gorge Zip Line Tours & Royal Gorge Helitours). Pack the 22nd (Wed) with family-friendly diversions at Cave of the Winds Mountain Park. There's lots more to do: meet the residents at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, cruise along Pikes Peak - America's Mountain, walk around Red Rock Canyon Open Space, and hike along Mount Cutler Trail.

Philadelphia to Colorado Springs is an approximately 8.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of train and bus. The time zone changes from Eastern Standard Time to Mountain Standard Time, which is usually a -2 hour difference. Traveling from Philadelphia in September, you can expect nighttime temperatures to be slightly colder in Colorado Springs, with lows of 51°F. On the 25th (Sat), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can travel back home.
