Stunning Garden of the Gods Park scenery, blue skies and the glory of Pikes Peak-America’s Mountain have attracted visitors to Colorado Springs for more than a century.
Kick off your visit on the 3rd (Mon): get in on the family fun at North Pole Colorado Santa’s Workshop and then have some family-friendly fun at Battlefield Colorado. Here are some ideas for day two: get to know the resident critters at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, walk around Garden of the Gods, and then deepen your knowledge of military history at United States Air Force Academy.

Houston to Colorado Springs is an approximately 6.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. Aptly nicknamed the "Mile-High City," Denver sits at an altitude of 1,600 m (5,280 ft) above sea level, located right where the Great Plains give way to the Rocky Mountains.
Start off your visit on the 5th (Wed): contemplate the long history of Molly Brown House Museum, see the sky in a new way at Denver Museum of Nature & Science, then get to know the resident critters at Denver Zoo, and finally explore the galleries of Denver Botanic Gardens. Keep things going the next day: steep yourself in history at Denver Union Station, admire the masterpieces at Denver Art Museum, and then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Trinity United Methodist Church.
