An internationally known ski resort, Steamboat Springs sits in the shadow of Mount Werner in north central Colorado.
Kick off your visit on the 15th (Sat): hike along Yampa River Core Trail. On the 16th (Sun), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: delve into the lush surroundings at Routt National Forest and then hit the slopes at Yampa River Botanic Park.

On the 17th (Mon), explore the ancient world of Spruce Tree House, contemplate the long history of Balcony House, and then explore the ancient world of Cliff Palace. On your second day here, steep yourself in history at Petroglyph Point Hike and then delve into the distant past at Long House.

Ouray is a Home Rule Municipality that is the county seat and the most populous city of Ouray County, Colorado, United States. Kick off your visit on the 19th (Wed): take in the dramatic natural features at Yankee Boy Basin, then take in the dramatic scenery at Box Canyon Waterfall & Park, and then hike along Bear Creek Falls. On the 20th (Thu), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: appreciate the extensive heritage of Ouray County Museum, take in the dramatic scenery at Ouray Box Canyon Waterfall, and then stroll through Perimeter Trail.
