More than just a convenient resting place for travelers on their way to the national park encompassing the Front Range of the Rockies, Estes Park is a popular place to visit in its own right.
Step off the beaten path and head to Winter Park Resort and Mountain Blown Glass. For shopping fun, head to Benson Park Sculpture Garden or Images of Rocky Mountain National Park. Go for a jaunt from Estes Park to Fort Collins to see New Belgium Brewing about 1h 15 min away. The adventure continues: indulge in some personalized pampering at some of the best spas.

Dallas to Estes Park is an approximately 6-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and car; or drive. Founded in 1859 as part of the Gold Rush in the Rockies, Breckenridge boasts a main street lined with colorful wooden storefronts housing cafes and shops, giving the effect of a thriving western town from the 19th century.
Start off your visit on the 3rd (Mon): indulge in some personalized pampering at some of the best spas, then put a fun spin on your tour with Breckenridge Welcome Center, and then trot along with a tour on horseback. On your second day here, fly down the slopes at Copper Mountain, fly down the slopes at Frisco Adventure Park, and then sample the tasty concoctions at Broken Compass Brewery & Tap House.

Getting from Estes Park to Breckenridge by car takes about 3 hours. Other options: take a bus. While traveling from Estes Park, expect much colder days and slightly colder nights in Breckenridge, ranging from highs of 26°F to lows of 15°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 4th (Tue) early enough to drive to Colorado Springs.

You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at National Museum of World War II Aviation and Red Rock Canyon Open Space. You'll explore and learn at Penrose Heritage Museum and Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center. When in Colorado Springs, make a side trip to see Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center in Divide, approximately 42 minutes away. And it doesn't end there: steep yourself in history at Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site, enjoy some music at Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center at Colorado College, hike along Palmer Park, and see the interesting displays at Michael Garman Museum & Gallery.

Traveling by car from Breckenridge to Colorado Springs takes 3 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of shuttle and flight. In February, Colorado Springs is somewhat warmer than Breckenridge - with highs of 46°F and lows of 21°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 7th (Fri) so you can travel back home.
