A small resort town located in Georgia's "Historic High Country," Blue Ridge sits right on the national scenic trail that follows the Appalachian mountain range for over 3,300 km (2,100 mi).
Bring the kids along to Mercier Orchards and Anna Ruby Falls. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Blue Ridge: River Rafting & Tubing (in Bryson City), Lasso the Moon Alpaca Farm (in Blairsville) and Unicoi State Park (in Helen). There's still lots to do: kick your exploration up a notch at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks, trek along Aska Trails, make a trip to Fannin County Veterans Memorial Park, and snap pictures at Toccoa River Swinging Bridge.
