Located just 140 km (90 mi) from Cuba, Key West is an island only about 6.4 km (4 mi) long and 1.6 km (1 mi) wide.Step out of Key West with an excursion to National Key Deer Refuge in Big Pine Key--about 44 minutes away. There's much more to do: examine the collection at The Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum, don't miss a visit to Southernmost Point, explore the different monuments and memorials at Key West Cemetery, and cruise along The Overseas Highway.

Pittsburgh to Key West is an approximately 7-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. In February, Key West is much hotter than Pittsburgh - with highs of 78°F and lows of 68°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 11th (Thu) to allow time to drive to Islamorada.
