Nestled in the lush, wooded forests of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Gatlinburg is Tennessee’s premier mountain resort destination.
Popular historic sites such as Basilica of Saint Lawrence and Grovewood Village are in your itinerary. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Laurel Falls and Museum of the Cherokee Indian. Step out of Gatlinburg with an excursion to Mountain Farm Museum in Cherokee--about 56 minutes away. There's still lots to do: look for all kinds of wild species at Roaring Fork, brush up on your knowledge of spirits at Sugarlands Distilling Company, get in on the family fun at 7D Dark Ride Adventure, and see the interesting displays at Christ in the Smokies Museum & Gardens.

To find reviews, ratings, photos, and more tourist information, you can read our Gatlinburg trip itinerary builder.
