Emerald City

Nicknamed the "Emerald City" because of its abundant evergreen trees, Seattle is the cultural and business center of the Pacific Northwest, as well as a popular holiday destination.
Visit Alki Beach and Brackett's Landing South for some beach relaxation. Get outdoors at Puget Sound Express and Discovery Park. Get out of town with these interesting Seattle side-trips: Marina Beach Park (in Edmonds) and Seahurst Beach Park (in Burien). Next up on the itinerary: pick up some local products at Pike Place Market, appreciate the history behind Fremont Troll, browse the different shops at Pacific Place, and take in panoramic vistas at Space Needle.
