Harrisburg

— 2 nights
Harrisburg is the capital city of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the United States, and the county seat of Dauphin County. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to The State Museum of Pennsylvania and Wildwood Park. And it doesn't end there: get a sense of history and politics at Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Capitol Complex, take in nature's colorful creations at Hershey Gardens, explore the world behind art at Susquehanna Art Museum, and learn about winemaking at Cullari Vineyards and Winery.

To find where to stay, traveler tips, reviews, and other tourist information, go to the Harrisburg online vacation planner.

Durham to Harrisburg is an approximately 6.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. Expect slightly colder temperatures when traveling from Durham in March; daily highs in Harrisburg reach 49°F and lows reach 31°F.
