Ranked the second safest city in the United States by Forbes magazine, Henderson is second only to Las Vegas among Nevada's largest cities.
Kids will appreciate attractions like Clark County Heritage Museum and Green Valley Range. Explore Henderson's surroundings by going to Overton (White Domes Trail, Valley of Fire State Park, &more) and Hoover Dam (in Boulder City). There's more to do: get to know the resident critters at Lion Habitat Ranch and tour the pleasant surroundings at Lake Mead National Recreation Area.

Reno to Henderson is an approximately 3-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus and train. Traveling from Reno in April, things will get a bit warmer in Henderson: highs are around 80°F and lows about 55°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 5th (Tue) early enough to go by car to Page.

Page — 2 nights

Originally little more than a simple camp constructed to house workers who built a nearby dam on the Colorado River, Page is now a popular stop for travelers preparing a trip to Arizona's canyon country.
On the 6th (Wed), explore the stunning scenery at Antelope Canyon, then hit the best photo ops around with an inspiring photography tour, and then look for all kinds of wild species at Wildlife Areas. Keep things going the next day: admire the engineering at Glen Canyon Dam Overlook and then take in the dramatic natural features at Horseshoe Bend.

Drive from Henderson to Page in 5 hours. Alternatively, you can fly; or do a combination of bus and shuttle. Traveling from Henderson to Page, you'll lose 1 hour due to the time zone difference. In April, Page is slightly colder than Henderson - with highs of 72°F and lows of 48°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 7th (Thu) to allow enough time to fly to Scottsdale.

Scottsdale — 3 nights

Scottsdale is a city in the eastern part of Maricopa County, Arizona, adjacent to the Greater Phoenix Area. You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center and Musical Instrument Museum. Take a break from Scottsdale with a short trip to Off-Road Tours in Phoenix, about 46 minutes away. There's still lots to do: take in nature's colorful creations at Desert Botanical Garden, relax and float downstream with a rafting and tubing tour, admire the striking features of Taliesin West, and take in the exciting artwork at Elan Wollitzer Gallery.
