Kailua is a census-designated place (CDP) in Honolulu County, Hawaii, United States. Bring the kids along to Lanikai Beach and Kailua Beach Park. Venture out of the city with trips to Malaekahana State Recreation Area (in Laie), Pu’u O Mahuka Heiau State Monument (in Pupukea) and Haleiwa (Waimea Valley, Waimea Bay, &more). There's still lots to do: discover the deep blue sea with a scuba or snorkeling tour, explore the activities along Ko Olina Lagoons, trek along Pillbox Hike, and stroll through Sandy Beach Park.
