Stretching over 9.7 km (6 mi) of pristine south Maui coastline, Kihei is the island's driest and sunniest region, making it a perfect location for water activities and beach leisure.
Venture out of the city with trips to Haleakala Crater (in Haleakala National Park), Lahaina (Lahaina Jodo Mission, Lahaina Banyan Court, & more) and Maui Veterans Cemetery (in Makawao). And it doesn't end there: see some colorful creatures with a scuba or snorkeling tour, observe the fascinating underwater world at Maui Ocean Center, enjoy the sand and surf at Kamaole Beach Park II, and take a memorable drive along Hana Highway - Road to Hana.

To find photos, other places to visit, maps, and other tourist information, you can read our Kihei itinerary planner.

In October, daily temperatures in Kihei can reach 88°F, while at night they dip to 70°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 2nd (Sat) early enough to travel back home.
