Kick off your visit on the 8th (Sat): stop by Pepper Palace. Jackson, officially the City of Jackson, is the capital city and largest urban center of the U.S. state of Mississippi. Kick off your visit on the 11th (Tue): get engrossed in the history at U.S.S. Cairo Museum, then take in the history at Texas Monument, and then don't miss a visit to Vicksburg Riverfront Murals. Keep things going the next day: get engrossed in the history at Old Capitol Museum, shop like a local with Mississippi Civil Rights Museum, steep yourself in history at Eudora Welty House and Garden, then explore the engaging exhibits at Mississippi Children's Museum, and finally look for gifts at Lemuria Books.
