Dallas to South Lake Tahoe is an approximately 8-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. You can drive from South Lake Tahoe to Truckee in 1.5 hours. Another option is to take a bus. Expect a daytime high around 50°F in March, and nighttime lows around 23°F. On the 11th (Fri), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can travel back home.
