— 7 nights

Horse Capital of the World

Known internationally as the "Horse Capital of the World," Lexington boasts a thriving economy resting largely on its thoroughbred racehorse industry.
Attractions like Old Friends at Dream Chase Farm and Newport Southbank Bridge a.k.a. Purple People Bridge make great kid-friendly stops. Explore hidden gems such as Unique Horse Farm Tours and Sun Valley Farm. Explore Lexington's surroundings by going to New Capitol Building (in Frankfort), Clarksville (Falls of the Ohio State Park & Colgate Clock) and Conrad-Caldwell House Museum (Conrad's Castle) (in Louisville). There's much more to do: hike along Legacy Trail, admire the natural beauty at Ashland: The Henry Clay Estate, contemplate the long history of Waveland State Historic Site, and stroll the grounds of Lexington Cemetery.

Expect a daytime high around 84°F in June, and nighttime lows around 64°F.
