Surrounded by mountain ranges, forests, valleys, beaches, and deserts, the metropolitan area of Los Angeles is home to over 17 million people.
Get out of town with these interesting Los Angeles side-trips: Mulholland Drive (in Beverly Hills) and Santa Monica (Santa Monica Yacht Harbor Sign, Ocean Avenue, &more). Pack the 16th (Sat) with family-friendly diversions at Universal Studios Hollywood. There's lots more to do: look and learn at Griffith Observatory, don't miss a visit to Hollywood Walk of Fame, take in the waterfront at Santa Monica Pier, and admire the masterpieces at Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
