New Orleans is known for historic sites, museums, nightlife, shopping, and parks. Fort Worth to New Orleans is an approximately 5-hour combination of flight and car. You can also fly; or drive. While traveling from Fort Worth, expect little chillier days and about the same nights in New Orleans, ranging from highs of 66°F to lows of 66°F. Vacherie is a small unincorporated community in St. Start off your visit on the 7th (Mon): see the interesting displays at Whitney Plantation, steep yourself in history at Laura Plantation: Louisiana's Creole Heritage Site, then admire the landmark architecture of Oak Alley Plantation, and finally don't miss a visit to Donaldsonvillle. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: steep yourself in history at San Francisco Plantation, then contemplate the long history of Madewood Plantation, then take in nature's colorful creations at Houmas House Plantation and Gardens, and finally contemplate the long history of Nottoway Plantation.

Traveling by car from New Orleans to Vacherie takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of bus and taxi.
