Nestled in the heart of the valley formed by the Shenandoah River, Luray draws visitors with a vast underground cavern system adorned with stalactites, stalagmites, and mirrored pools.
Get out of town with these interesting Luray side-trips: Blackwater Falls State Park (in Davis), Massanutten Indoor WaterPark (in McGaheysville) and Shenandoah National Park (Dark Hollow Falls, Bearfence Mountain, & more). There's still lots to do: stroll through Skyline Drive, Head underground at Skyline Caverns, trek along Stony Man Mountain Hike, and sample the fine beverages at Copper Fox Distillery.

Use Inspirock's suggestions to plan your Luray trip and find the best activities and attractions for your vacation.

If you are flying in from Canada, the closest major airports are Washington Dulles International Airport, Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and Richmond International Airport. In July, daytime highs in Luray are 35°C, while nighttime lows are 22°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 14th (Sun) to allow enough time to travel back home.
