Bar Harbor is a town on Mount Desert Island in Hancock County, Maine, United States. Bring the kids along to Cadillac Mountain and Land Bridge to Bar Island. Go for a jaunt from Bar Harbor to Winter Harbor to see Schoodic Point about 46 minutes away. There's still lots to do: identify plant and animal life at Shore Path, kick back and relax at Sand Beach, tee off at Pirate's Cove Miniature Golf, and contemplate the waterfront views at Jordan Pond Path Trailhead.

Ogunquit means "beautiful place by the sea" in the language of the Native Americans who inhabited the region long ago, and this remains an accurate description of this holiday destination today.
Start off your visit on the 16th (Thu): pick up a one of a kind souvenir at Uniques and Antiques, take in the dramatic natural features at Perkins Cove, then appreciate the extensive heritage of Marginal Way Walkway, and finally enjoy the sand and surf at Ogunquit Beach. On the 17th (Fri), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: enjoy the sand and surf at Old Orchard Beach, admire the masterpieces at Ogunquit Museum of American Art, and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Footbridge Beach.
