The first national park east of the Mississippi River, Acadia National Park draws visitors with its rugged landscape of ocean shoreline, low-slung granite mountains, dense woodlands, and pristine lakes.
Start off your visit on the 23rd (Tue): explore the landscape on two wheels at Carriage Roads, take in the awesome beauty at Cadillac Mountain, and then explore the activities along Jordan Pond Path Trailhead. Here are some ideas for day two: trek along Champlain Mountain & Beehive Loop Trail, then take in the dramatic natural features at Thunder Hole, and then enjoy the sand and surf at Sand Beach.
