Marion — 2 nights

Marion is a city in and the county seat of Williamson County, Illinois, United States. Kick off your visit on the 6th (Sat): head outdoors with Rent One Park and then identify plant and animal life at Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge. On the next day, don't miss a visit to Floodwall Murals and then pause for some photo ops at Superman Statue.

Minocqua is a town in northwestern Oneida County, Wisconsin, United States. Kids will appreciate attractions like Wildwood Wildlife Park & Nature Center and Adventure Mining Company. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Minocqua: Ontonagon (Bond Falls & Presque Isle River), Black River Harbor Recreation Area (in Ironwood) and Boulder Junction (in Boulder Junction). Next up on the itinerary: grab your bike and head to Bearskin State Trail, identify plant and animal life at Northwoods Wildlife Center, contemplate the waterfront views at Lake Tomahawk, and tee off at Timber Ridge Golf Club.
