Haleakala National Park offers visitors the rare opportunity to walk down into the intact crater of a volcano.
Kick off your visit on the 3rd (Thu): take a memorable drive along Hana Highway - Road to Hana. Here are some ideas for day two: make a trip to Charles Lindbergh's Grave, then ride a horse along Pipiwai Trail, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Huialoha Church, and finally get impressive views of Haleakala Crater.
