8 days in Miami Itinerary

Florida’s mecca of fun in the sun, the lively tropical metropolis of Miami is one of the world’s top vacation spots.

Take a break from the city and head to Shark Valley Visitor Center and Anhinga Trail. We've included these beaches for you: Haulover Beach Park and Fort Lauderdale Beach. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Miami: Henry Morrison Flagler Museum (in Palm Beach), Everglades National Park (in Florida City) and Big Cypress National Preserve (in Ochopee). On the 7th (Thu), enjoy a perfect day by the water at John D. MacArthur Beach State Park. There's still lots to do: wander the streets of Lincoln Road, look for all kinds of wild species at Loggerhead Marinelife Center, pause for some photo ops at Torch of Friendship, and get a taste of the local shopping with Bal Harbour Shops.

If you are flying in from Canada, the closest major aiports are Miami International Airport, Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport and Palm Beach International Airport. February in Miami sees daily highs of 30°C and lows of 21°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 9th (Sat) to allow enough time to travel back home.
