Traverse City

Cherry Capital of the World

Traverse City might be well known for its huge cherry industry, but its position along Grand Traverse Bay in Lake Michigan endows it with fine scenery and a wealth of outdoor attractions.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Brys Estate Vineyard & Winery and Suttons Bay Ciders. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Bowers Harbor Vineyards and Left Foot Charley Winery. Change things up with these side-trips from Traverse City: Fishtown (in Leland), Leelanau Wine Cellars (in Omena) and Eyaawing Museum & Cultural Center (in Suttons Bay). It doesn't end there: do a tasting at Black Star Farms and stop by Cherry Republic of Traverse City.
