Furniture City

The second largest city in Michigan and a hub of furniture manufacturing, Grand Rapids bears the nickname "Furniture City." However, the destination's original name came from the rapids of the Grand River that once ran through the downtown area.
You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park and Boulder Ridge Wild Animal Park. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Grand Rapids: Holland (Holland State Park Beach & Bowerman Blueberries Farm Market), Oval Beach (in Saugatuck) and Michigan's Adventure (in Muskegon).
