Calumet

Calumet is a village in Calumet Township, Houghton County, in the U.S. state of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, that was once at the center of the mining industry of the Upper Peninsula. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Calumet: Copper Harbor (Copper Harbor Bike Trail System, Fort Wilkins State Park, &more), Eagle Harbor (The Jampot, Silver River Falls, &more) and Jacob's Falls (in Eagle River). Next up on the itinerary: go deep underground at Quincy Mine, explore the activities along McLain State Park, identify plant and animal life at Nara Nature Park, and see the interesting displays at Mineral Museum of Michigan.
