The largest city on the Mississippi River, Memphis bills itself as both the "Birthplace of Rock" and "Home of the Blues." With such a rich musical heritage, it shouldn't come as a surprise that Elvis Presley chose to live in Memphis during his later years.
Go for a jaunt from Memphis to Tunica to see Horseshoe Tunica about 46 minutes away. And it doesn't end there: browse the exhibits of Graceland, contemplate the long history of The Peabody Ducks, make a trip to Beale Street, and gain insight at Stax Museum of American Soul Music.
