Step off the beaten path and head to San Miguel Chapel and Bradbury Science Museum. Take a break from the city and head to Pecos National Historical Park and River Rafting & Tubing. When in Santa Fe, make a side trip to see El Santuario de Chimayo in Chimayo, approximately Chimayo away. Next up on the itinerary: examine the collection at Palace of the Governors, take in nature's colorful creations at Santa Fe Botanical Garden, and browse the exhibits of El Rancho de las Golondrinas.

Albuquerque remains one of the state's secret jewels, as its tourist attractions are often overshadowed by the more popular holiday destination of Santa Fe.
