Albuquerque remains one of the state's secret jewels, as its tourist attractions are often overshadowed by the more popular holiday destination of Santa Fe.
Visiting Bandelier National Monument and Canyon Trail will get you outdoors. Popular historic sites such as Albuquerque Old Town and Albuquerque New Mexico Temple are in your itinerary. Step out of Albuquerque to go to Cochiti Pueblo and see Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument, which is approximately 1h 25 min away. There's lots more to do: enjoy unforgettable views with a balloon tour, explore the ancient world of Coronado Historic Site, take in the dramatic natural features at Petroglyph National Monument, and take in the spiritual surroundings of San Felipe de Neri Church.
