For those not from the South, Raleigh might be one of the region's better-kept travel secrets.
Kids will enjoy Cipher Escape and Duke University Chapel. Go for a jaunt from Raleigh to Durham to see Sarah P. Duke Gardens about 34 minutes away. There's much more to do: engage your brain at Marbles Kids Museum, don't miss a visit to Memorial Bell Tower, gain insight at North Carolina State University, and see the interesting displays at North Carolina Museum of History.
