Cherry Capital of the World

Traverse City might be well known for its huge cherry industry, but its position along Grand Traverse Bay in Lake Michigan endows it with fine scenery and a wealth of outdoor attractions.
Get in touch with nature at Empire Bluff Trail and Clinch Park. Explore hidden gems such as Traverse Area Recreation and Transportation Trails and Grand Traverse Bay. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Traverse City: Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail (in Glen Arbor), Point Betsie Lighthouse (in Frankfort) and Pyramid Point Trail (in Empire).
